Forestry, Cadastral & Biosys Entity Relationship DiagramAfter normalizing the Nova Scotia Property Records Database along with the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources Biophysical Land Classification and Forest Cover, it was possible to develop this Entity Relationship Diagram. Upon completion and revision, the tables were developed from the existing datasets and stored within a Microsoft Access database. It was then possible to perform queries in Access and using an Object Linking and Embedding database connection via ArcMap, view the results on screen as spatial data.

Conceptual DatabasesDisplayed here are two conceptual database schemes designed for an in-class exercise. The first one portrays how a database could be built to store personal and contact information. The second one models how a business could use a database to keep track of invoices and products sold.
