Digby - Nova Scotia
Over the course of roughly six months these eight plates representing Digby were developed. Once the initial basemap was created, critiqued and corrected the thematic layers were assembled using techniques that ranged from rubber sheeting 1:63360 soil data to using ET GeoWizards to create TIN datasets for the purpose of calculating slopes in the study area.

Bridgewater - Nova Scotia
After completing the series of Digby maps, I was given the opportunity to spend two months developing a trio of plates that represent Bridgewater. I also had more freedom with the symbolization and layout of the final product. This allowed me to express my creativity as well as explore some other aspects of map creation that I had not yet been able to do. Again, like Digby, there was extensive geoprocessing performed to achieve the final results. An example of this was the process followed to obtain the data necessary for the Land Use plate. Roughly ten tables had to be joined and/or related to the spatial data in order to obtain the necessary attribute fields for symbology.
